Monarch Invitational

September 20 & 21, 2019

The Monarchs are hosting an 12 team, 3 bracket invitational tournament this season.  Two brackets will be played at the LaVista Sports Complex with the third at Papillion-LaVista South High School.

Monarch Softball Alumni Day

On September 30, 2017, Papillion-LaVista held a Monarch Softball Alumni day to commemorate 25 years of sanctioned high school softball in the State Of Nebraska, and the success of the Monarch program over the years.  

The event was held between games of the annual triangular with the two other schools.  

Players and coaches from the 1992 to 2016 teams were invited to attend.  37 former players and a former coach were in attendance and were recognized in between games.  By graduation year, they are: 2017 - Mady Anglim, Clara Dargy and Mallory Sotak, 2016 - Emma Dargy and Sara Sempek, 2015 - Amanda Butera and Jordan Van Roy, 2012 - Emily Drummy, Katie Petersen, Lauren Tanner and Kelsey (Whipple) Dayan, 2011 - Molly Middleton, 2010 - Erin (Kempf) Houser, 2009 - Cianna Kozlik, Megan (Southworth) Moudy, Lindsay Redding, Marlee (Petersen) Vanden Bosch, 2008 - Kylie (Hovinga) Wees, Amy (Vonderharr) Hendrickson, 2007 - Lindsay (Zastrow) Bauer, 2006 - Ally (Butera) Simmons, Chelsea (Koch) Hunter, 2005 - Sarah Green, 2004 - Ashley Murray, 2003 - Jamie (Reiss) Burr, Ashley (Killeen) Bails, 2002 - Stepfanie Rainge, 2000 - Katie Kimball, Peaches (James) Keaton, Sarah Scheppers, 1999 - Teresa Garcia, 1998 - Rhianna Mays, 1996 - Tina Powers, Emily Townsend, Jen (Kline) Moore, 1994 - Sonya (Woolhiser) Weitkam, and Coach Kristi Renner.

Senior Night

The 2019 Senior night will be September 24th.  The Monarchs opponent that evening is Bellevue East.  

This is an annual event where we say good-bye and thank you to our senior girls who have been a part of the Monarch softball program and will graduate in the Spring of 2019.  

Traditional festivities include the seniors and their parents being introduced prior to the game and a post game chili feed. 

The coordinator for the 2019 season is Mariana Hurst.
