August 18th - PLHS 12 - Omaha Skutt 4 (6 innings)

Kaylee Pinneo led a 13 hit attack with 2 homeruns and 4 RBI's. Emmie Wills had 3 hits, Emma McGrath and Kamira Botos each had two hits. Haley Wilwerding also hit a homerun. Other hits by Kloey Hamblen, Morgan Byrd and Avery Wolfe. Hamblen, Byrd and Botos each hit doubles. Wilwerding also reach base on a hit by pitch.

Byrd had 3 RBI's, including a sacrifice fly out, McGrath, Wilwerding each had two, with the other RBI by Botos. McGrath, Wilwerding, and Pinneo each scored twice, with Wills, Byrd, Botos, Wolfe, Peyton Hoelscher and Morgan Stock each scoring a run. Wills, Wilwerding, Stock and Wolfe also had stolen bases.

Carly Bertolini and Amanda Gibilisco each pitched three innings and held the Sky Hawks to 6 hits. Gibilisco picked up the win for her first varsity victory. Bertolini had two strikeouts while Gibilisco had four.

August 19th - PLHS 8 - Bellevue East 1 (5 innings)

Emma McGrath and Emmie Wills each had two hits and two runs, with other hits by Kamira Botus, Kyla Warden, Morgan Byrd and Peyton Hoelscher. McGrath had the only extra base hit with a double. Kloey Hamblen and Hoelscher each reached base on a walk. Hamblen also scored twice. Other runs by Botos, and Morgan Stock. Wills and Botos each had 2 RBI's with other runs driven in by Hamblen with a sacrifice fly out, Warden and Byrd. McGrath, Wills and Botos each had a stolen base.

Carly Bertolini pitched a 3 hitter to earn the win in the circle.

August 19th - PLHS 4 - Elkhorn South 15 (5 innings)

The Monarchs picked up nine hits in the loss led by Kloey Hamblen and Morgan Byrd with two each. Other hits by Haley Wilwerding, Emmie Wills, Kamira Botos, Kaylee Pinneo and Avery Wolfe (double). Emma McGrath, Wills and Wolfe each reached base on a walk. Hamblen, Wolfe, Presley Ivener and Morgan Stock scored the team's runs. RBI's by Pinneo, Wolfe and Amanda Gibilisco. Stock and Botos each had a stolen base.

Carly Bertolini, Gibilisco and Hamblen combined efforts in the circle, striking out 1 hitter each. Bertolini incurred the loss.

August 20th - PLHS 3 - Lincoln North Star 2 (6 innings)

Maisey Carpenter walked with the bases loaded to force in the winning run in the bottom of 6th inning. The Monarchs had nine hits in the game led by Emmie Wills and Kaylee Pinneo with two each. Other hits by Emma McGrath, Kloey Hamblen, Haley Wilwerding, Kamira Botos and Peyton Hoelscher. Pinneo had the only extra base hit with a double. Runs were scored by Botos, Wills and Brooklynn Sargent. In addition to Carpenter, the other RBI was by Wills. Morgan Stock had a stolen base.

Amanda Gibilisco pitched a four hitter with five strikeouts to earn the win in the circle.

August 20th - PLHS 2 - Bennington 1 (6 innings)

Emma McGrath singled to score Kamira Botos with the winning run in the bottom of 6th inning. The Monarchs had ten hits in the game led by McGrath, Botos, Emmie Wills and Morgan Byrd with two each. Other hits by Kloey Hamblen and Haley Wilwerding, who hit a double. The other run was also score by Botos. In addition to McGrath, the other RBI was by Maisey Carpenter. Morgan Stock had a stolen base.

Carly Bertolini struck out five hitters in her five innings in the circle. Amanda Gibilisco pitched the last inning and had one strikeout while earning the win.

August 22nd - PLHS 17 - Omaha Northwest 0 (3 innings)

Kloey Hamblen threw a no hitter with 7 strikeouts for the victory in the circle.

The Monarchs had 7 hits and took advantage of 12 walks and 6 hit batters. Amanda Gibilisco (double), Morgan Stock, Brooklynn Sargent and Addison Mahnks had their first varsity hits, with other hits by Avery Wolfe, Haley Wilwerding and Emmie Wills (double) also getting hits.

Stock, Sargent, Emma McGrath, Kaylee Pinneo, Ysa Rodriguez and Peyton Hoelscher each scored twice, with other runs being scored by Wilwerding, Wills, Carly Bertolini, Macey Butcher and Kamira Botos. Emmie Wills had three RBI's. Wolfe, and Gibilscio each had two.. Other RBI's by Wilwerding, Stock, Sargent, Mahnks, Talia Astorino, Presley Ivener and Maisey Carpenter.

Pinneo, Sargent, Astorino, Botos, Reese Haberer and Kyla Warden each reached base by being hit by a pitch. McGrath and Hoelscher each walked twice, with Bertolini, Wills, Wilwerding, Pinneo, Butcher, Stock, Rodriguez and Carpenter each walking once. Wilwerding had 2 stolen bases with Wills, McGrath, Pinneo and Stock getting one each.

August 25th - PLHS 2 - Omaha Marian 5

The Monarch fell short in a tight game against the Crusaders that was tied at 2 after six innings. Amanda Gibilsco and Carly Bertolini combined for 7 strikeouts in the circle.

Kamira Botos drove in Emmie Wills and Haley Wilwerding with a single in the 4th inning. Wilwerding had two hits and Wills had the team's other hit. Kaylee Pinneo reached base twice on walks.

September 1st - PLHS 16 - Omaha Buena Vista 0 (3 innings)

All of the Monarch players reached base in the game, led by 2 hits each by Emmie Wills, Kyla Warden and Haley Wilwerding. Other hits by Morgan Byrd, Morgan Stock, Maizey Carpenter, Emma McGrath, Avery Wolfe and Amanda Gibilisco (homerun). Macey Butcher, Kaylee Pinneo, Reese Haberer, Addison Mahnks, Kloey Hamblen, Brooklynn Sargent, Carly Bertolini, Talia Astorino, Kamira Botos and Gibilsco reached base on walks. Pinneo, Wilwerding and Hamblen scored twice, with the other runs scored by Wills, Stock, Wolfe, Gibilisco, Sargent, Botos, Carpenter, Peyton Hoelscher, Presley Ivener and Ysa Rodriguez. Wills had 3 RBI,s with 2 each by Stock and Gibilisco. Other RBI's by Butcher, Byrd, Wilwerding, McGrath, Haberer and Astorino. Sargent reach base on a hit by pitch. Stock had a stolen base.

Gibilisco and Hamblen combined efforts on a no-hitter in the circle with Gilisco striking out 3 and earning the victory, Hamblen struck out 4.

September 2nd - PLHS 5 - Lincoln Southwest 1 (5 innings - due to time limit)

Amanda Gibilisco pitched a 4 hitter with 2 strikeouts for the win.

The Monarch hitters were led with 2 RBI's by Emma McGrath and one each by Kaylee Pinneo, Haley Wilwerding and Maizey Carpenter. Kloey Hamblen scored twice with the other runs by Pinneo, Emmie Wills and Morgan Stock. McGrath, Wilwerding and Pinneo also reach base on walks. Hits by McGrath, Wilwerding, Hamblen (double), Pinneo and Morgan Byrd. Kamira Botos reach base on a hit by pitch. Wilwerding had two stolen bases and Pinneo one.

September 2nd - PLHS 0 - Gretna 1 (6 innings due to time limit)

Carly Bertolini threw a 6 hitter with 5 strikeouts, giving up only a 6th inning run to the Dragons.

Congratulations to Gretna pitcher Alexis Jensen on throwing a perfect game against the Monarchs.

September 3rd - PLHS 5 - Millard West 2 (5 innings - due to time limit)

Amanda Gibilsco started in the circle and had 4 strikeouts earning the victory. Carly Bertolini had 3 strikeouts and picked up the save.

Avery Wolfe had 2 hits, with Emma McGrath (triple), Kaylee Pinneo, Kamira Botos and Presley Ivener (double) each getting 1 each. Kloey Hamblen reach base twice on walks. Runs were scored by Hamblen, Botos, Ivener, Peyton Hoelscher and Morgan Stock. McGrath, Botos, Ivener and Wolfe had the RBI's.

September 3rd - PLHS 8 - Lincoln Pius X 4 (5 innings - due to time limit)

Carly Bertolini started in the circle and had 2 strikeouts earning the victory. Amanda Gibilisco had 1 strikeout and picked up the save.

Wilwerding, McGrath and Botos had stolen bases. Runs were scored by Morgan Stock (2), McGrath, Wilwerding, Hamblen, Botos, Kyla Warden and Brooklynn Sargent. Botos and Gibilisco each had 2 RBI's. Other RBI's by Byrd, Hamblen and Pinneo.

September 8th - PLHS 6 - Omaha Burke 1 (5 innings - due to time limit)

Haley Wilwerding, Emmie Wills, Morgan Byrd and Kloey Hamblen each had 2 hits with Kyla Warden, Kamira Botos, Avery Wolfe and Kaylee Pinneo also getting a hit. Wills had a double and two stolen bases. Hamblen hit triple that scored 3 runs and scored twice. Other RBI's by Byrd, Pinneo and Wolfe. Other runs were scored by Wills, Botos, Wilwerding and Morgan Stock.

Carly Bertolini threw a 3 hitter with 4 strikeouts to earn the win in the circle.

September 9th - PLHS 2 - Elkhorn South 4 (5 innings - due to time limit)

Emma McGrath had two hits, including a double, a walk, a stolen base and scored both of the Monarchs run in a close game with the Storm. Haley Wilwerding had a hit, a stolen base and knocked in both runs. Other hits by Kamira Botos and Kaylee Pinneo. Amanda Gibilisco and Kloey Hamblen each reached base on walks. Hamblen and Morgan Stock each had stolen bases.

September 13th - PLHS 7 - Papillion-LaVista South 2

Emmie Wills led the Monarchs with 3 hits, including a double, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Haley Wilwerding had 2 hits and 2 runs scored. Other hits by Emma McGrath, Morgan Byrd, Kamira Botos (double), Kloey Hamblen, Amanda Gibilisco and Avery Wolfe. McGrath and Wolfe had stolen baes, Byrd also reached base on a walk. McGrath, Botos and Hamblen scored the other runs. Other RBI's by Byrd, Botos, Hamblen and Wolfe.

Gibilisco also pitched 7 innings with 7 strikeouts to earn the pitching win.

September 15th - PLHS 12 - Omaha North 0 (3 innings)- SENIOR NIGHT

The Monarchs began the evening honoring seniors Haley Wilwerding, Emma McGrath and Emmie Wills.

During the game: Wills had 3 hits, 2 stolen bases, 2 runs and 2 RBI's. Wilwerding had 2 hits, a stolen base, 2 runs and an RBI. McGrath added a hit, a walk, a stolen base and 2 runs.

Other hits by Maisey Carpenter (double), Presley Ivener, Peyton Hoelscher (inside the park homerun), Avery Wolfe and Morgan Byrd (double). Carpenter also walked and had a stolen base. Hoelscher, Kamira Botos, Amanda Gibilisco and Addison Mahnks reached base on walks. Carpenter scored two runs with Hoelscher, Wolfe, Mahnks and Ysa Rodriguez also scoring. Ivener had 3 RBI's, with Botos, Hoelscher, Wolfe, Byrd and Morgan Stock also pushing runs across the plate.

Kloey Hamblen was the winner in the circle and had 5 strikeouts.

September 16th - PLHS 2 - Platte Valley 6 (6 innings - due to time limit)

Emmie Wills had 2 hits, a stolen base and scored a run. Other hits by Emma McGrath (double), Kamira Botos, Kloey Hamblen (double) and Amanda Gibilisco. Botos scores the teams other run. Hamblen also reached base on a walk and had an RBI.

Carly Bertolini started the game in the circle and recorded 1 strikeout. Gibilisco finished the game and also had a strikeout.

September 16th - PLHS 12 - Millard South 5 (5 innings due to time limit)

Kamira Botos had 3 hits, including a double, a stolen base, scored twice and had 4 RBI's to lead the Monarch hitters. Emmie Wills reached base 4 times with a hit and 3 walks, scoring 3 times and had an RBI. Haley Wilwerding had 2 hits with a double, a run scored and 3 RBI's. Presley Ivener added 2 hits and scored a run. Other hits by Emma McGrath (double), Morgan Byrd (double), Kloey Hamblen (double), Amanda Gibilisco, Morgan Stock and Ysa Rodriguez, who picked up her first varsity hit. Byrd also reach base on a hit by pitch. Stock had a stolen base. Peyton Hoelscher scored twice with the other runs by McGrath, Addison Mahnks and Talia Astorino. McGrath had 2 RBI's. Hamblen and Rodriguez also drove in runs.

Emma McGrath had a base hit, a walk and scored the Monarch's only run. Haley Wilwerding had a double and an RBI. Presley Ivener also had a hit.

Amanda Gibilisco and Carly Bertolini share pitching duties with Gibilisco recording 3 strikeouts.

September 22nd - PLHS 8 - Millard South 9 - FUTURE MONARCH NIGHT

Emma McGrath and Kamira Botos each had 2 hits including homeruns to lead the Monarchs in a close game. Haley Wilwerding also had two hits. Other hits by Amanda Gibilisco, Emmie Wills, Presley Ivener and Morgan Byrd, who hit a double. Botos, Wills and Byrd also reached base on walks. Botos scored twice with other runs scored by McGrath, Wills, Wilwerding, Ivener, Kloey Hamblen and Morgan Stock. Gibilisco and McGrath each had two RBI's with Botos, Hamblen and Byrd each having one.

September 24th - PLHS 1 - Gretna 6

Haley Wilwerding doubled and scored on a single by Kamira Botos to account for the Monarchs only run. Emmie Wills and Kloey Hamblen reach base on walks. Wills added a stolen base. Carly Bertolini competed hard pitching a complete game with 4 strikeouts holding the Dragons down until the last inning.

September 24th - PLHS 5 - Elkhorn South 3

Haley Wilwerding had two hits including a triple, drove in 3 runs and scored one to lead the Monarch hitters. Other hits by Emma McGrath, Emmie Wills, Amanda Gibilsco and Morgan Byrd. McGrath also walked, stole two bases and scored twice. Kloey Hamblen walked and had an RBI. Emmie Wills and Morgan Stock scored the other runs. Stock added a stolen base. Morgan Byrd had the other RBI.

Amanda Gibilsco pitched into the 7th inning and earned the win in the circle with 7 strikeouts. Carly Bertolini picked up the final two outs to earn the save.

September 26th - PLHS vs Lincoln North Star

Haley Wilwerding had 3 hits including a homerun, two stolen bases, an RBI and scored three times to pace the Monarch hitters. Maizey Carpenter his her first varsity homerun with 3 RBI's. Kamira Botos doubled and hit a sacrafice fly, a run scored and 2 RBI's. Other hits by Emmie Wills, Kloey Hamblen (double), Presley Ivener, Amanda Gibilisco, Morgan Byrd (double) and Avery Wolfe. Wills added a stolen base and a scored a run. Wolfe walked twice and also scored. Byrd also reach base on a walk, scored once and had an RBI. The other run was scored by Ivener. Hamblen and Gibilisco each had an RBI.

Carly Bertolini pitched a complete game with 4 strikeouts to earn the win in the circle.

September 27th - PLHS 12 - Omaha Westview 1 (4 innings)

Amanda Gibilisco gave up one hit and struck out 11 for the win in the circle and contributed a walk and a triple at the plate.

Kamira Botos had two hits, with 4 RBI's and a run scored to lead the Monarch hitters. Emma McGrath also had 2 hits along with a walk, 2 stolen bases, 2 runs scored and an RBI. Emmie Wills had a base hit, 2 walks, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Other hits by Haley Wilwerding, Carly Bertolini, Morgan Byrd, Kloey Hamblen and Presley Ivener. Haley Wilwerding hit a double and a homerun, scored twice and had 3 RBI's. Emmie Wills had 2 hits, including a triple, scored once and added an RBI. Morgan Byrd also had 2 hits. Emma McGrath also tripled and scored. Other hits by Avery Wolfe and Maizey Carpenter. Kamira Botos, Morgan Stock and Carpenter each scored a run. Byrd and Presley Ivener had RBI's. Botos reached base on a walk and stole a base. Stock had 2 stolen bases and Peyton Hoelscher had 1. Carpenter and Gibilisco also reach base on walks.

Carly Bertolini and Gibilsco combined for a 4 hitter in the circle. Bertolini struck out 3 and earned the win while Gibilisco struck out 9.

October 3rd - PLHS vs Lincoln Southeast (5 innings)

Kamira Botos was 3 for 3 with a homerun, 3 runs scored, 3 RBI's and a stolen base to pace the Monarch offense. Emmie Wills had 2 hits including a double with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Amanda Gibilisco hit a bases loaded double to bring in 3 runs and also scored. Kloey Hamblen also hit a homerun and had 2 RBI's. Emma McGrath and Avery Wolfe each hit triples with McGrath scoring a run. Haley Wilwerding reach on a walk and a hit by a pitch, had a stolen base and scored twice. Presley Ivener had the Monarchs other hit. Addison Mahnks also drive in a run.

Carly Bertolini and Gibilsco combined for a 3 hitter in the circle. Bertolini struck out 3 and earned the win while Gibilisco struck out 4.

October 5th - District A-7 Tournament - PLHS 10 - Grand Island 0 (4 innings)

Carly Bertolini and Amanda Gibilisco combined on a hitter in the first game of the District A-7 tournament. Bertolini had 4 strikeouts and earned the win.

Emma McGrath had 3 hits including a homerun and a triple, with 2 runs scored 2 RBI's and a stolen base. Haley Wilwerding, Emmie Wills and Gibilisco each had 2 hits. Both of Wills hits were doubles and she had 2 runs and 2 RBI's. Wilwerding had a double, a run and 2 RBI's. Other hits by Morgan Byrd, Kloey Hamblen and Maizey Carpenter, who also reached base on a walk. Hamblen had 2 stolen bases, and Carpenter, Kamira Botos and Ysa Rodriguez each had 1.

October 5th - District A-7 Tournament - PLHS 11 - Millard West 6

Emmie Wills and Kamira Botos each hit homeruns, had 2 hits and scored twice. Wills also tripled and had 3 RBI's. Botos had 2 RBI's. Morgan Byrd had 3 hits and 2 RBI's. Kloey Hamblen also had 2 hits including a double, 1 run and 2 RBI's. Haley Wilwerding had a hit and a run scored. Presley Ivener and Maizey Carpenter each hit a double. Ivener's hit drove in a run. Other runs were scored by Emma McGrath, Carpenter, Morgan Stock and Peyton Hoelscher. McGrath, Wills, Hamblen, Ivener and Carly Bertolini each reached base on walks.

Amanda Gibilisco and Bertolini shared the pitching duties with Gibilisco recording 1 strikeout and Bertolini striking out 5 and earning the win.

October 6th - District A-7 Tournament - PLHS 13 - Millard West 5 (6 innings)

Emmie Wills had 3 hits including a homerun with 4 RBI's and 2 runs scored to pace a full squad Monarch attack. Ema McGrath, Haley Wilwerding, Carly Bertolini and Kloey Hamblen each had 2 hits. McGrath also walked, had a stolen base, scored 3 times and drove in 1, Wilwerding had 2 runs and an RBI. Hamblen drove in a run with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 6th inning. Amanda Gilbilisco doubled and drove in a run. Morgan Byrd doubled, was hit by a pitch, scored once and drove in 2 runs. Presley Ivener also doubled, scored twice and had an RBI. The other hit was by Kamira Botos, who also scored. Morgan Stock stole two bases and scored twice.

Gibilisco and Bertolini shared the pitching duties with Gibilisco striking out 2 and Bertolini earning the win.

October 12th - State Tournament - PLHS 6 - Elkhorn South 5

Emmie Will,s Kamira Botos and Kloey Hamblen each had 2 hits, with Emma McGrath, Haley Wilwerding and Maizey Carpenter each getting 1. Wilwerding's hit was a double and she also walked and scored twice. Wills had a stolen base and also scored a run. Botos had a double as one of her hits, scored a run and had 2 RBI's. Hamblen also doubled, scored twice and reach base on a walk. Carpenter's hit was a triple. Morgan Byrd reached base on a walk. Amanda Gibilisco had a sacrifice fly and 2 RBI's.

Carly Bertolini pitched a complete game giving up 1 earned run and striking out 4 to earn the victory in the circle.

October 12th - State Tournament - PLHS 2 - Omaha Marian 6

Emmie Wills, Haley Wilwerding, Kamira Botos, Avery Wolfe and Morgan Byrd each had a hit during the game. Wills had a stolen base and a run scored. Wilwerding reached base on a hit by pitch, scored a run and had an RBI. Botos also drove in a run.

Amanda Gibilisco had 3 strikeouts and Carly Bertolini had 1 in the circle.

October 13th - State Tournament - PLHS 16 - Elkhorn South 4 (3 innings)

The Monarchs hit 5 homeruns in the game with all three senior getting in the act. Emmie Wills has 2 while Emma McGrath and Haley Wildwering hit one each. Kloey Hamblen hit the other homerun. Wills, McGrath, Wilwerdng, Kamira Botos, Avery Wolfe and Maizey Carpenter each had two hits. Hamblen and Morgan Byrd had the team's other hits. Wilwerding hit a double, reached base on a walk, scored twice and had 4 RBI's. Wills reached base on a walk, scored three ties and had 3 RBI's. McGrath also had a double, scored three times and had 2 RBI's. Carpenter also had a walk and scored 3 times. Wolfe had 2 RBI's and a run scored. Hamblen had a run and 2 RBI's. Botos and Amanda Gibilisco each reached base on a walk. Botos had an RBI. Morgan Stock had a stolen base as a courtesy runner.

Carly Bertolini had 3 strikeouts and earned the win in the circle.

October 13th - State Tournament - PLHS 10 - Elkhorn South 9 (8 innings)

Presley Ivener had 3 hits in the game with 2 runs and 2 RBI's and hit an infield single to drive in Kloey Hamblen with the winning run in the bottom of the 8th inning. Emmie Wills and Morgan Byrd each had 2 hits. Emma McGrath hit a double, walked and scored twice. Haley Wilwerding had a hit, a walk, a stolen base, a sacrifice fly, a run and 2 RBI's. Kamira Botos had a hit, a run and an RBI. Avery Wolfe doubled and scored. Hamblen and Byrd each had an RBI. Wills scored once. Amanda Gibilisco reached based on a hit by pitch and had an RBI. Morgan Stock had a stolen base and scored once.

Gibilisco (one strikeout) and Carly Bertolini (4 strikeouts and the win) shared the pitching duties.

October 14th - State Tournament - PLHS 0 - Gretna 4

Emma McGrath had a double and Emmie Wills had a single for the Monarchs only hits. Kloey Hamblen reached base on a walk.

Amanda Gibilisco (3 strikeouts) and Carly Bertolini (4 strikeouts) again shared the pitching efforts.

The Monarchs finished 3rd in the State Tournament and had a final record of 24-10.
