The evening began with alumni night and the jersey retirements for former Monarchs Peaches James-Keaton and Jordy Bahl-Frahm. There were 32 former players, 2 honorary players and 7 former assistant coaches in attendance.
After the ceremonies, the Monarchs scored then 7 runs in the first inning and another 8 in the second inning for a 3 inning win over the Chieftains. The Monarchs finished the game with 12 hits and 7 walks.
Elli Ridgley had two hits including a towering homerun, 2 runs and 3 RBI to lead the Monarch hitters. Drew Trofholz, and Allison Dibelka also had 2 hits. Trofholz added a run and Dibelka scored twice. Both had 2 RBI's. Other hits by Toria Rother (double), Reese Fitzgerald, Alexa Harms, Bella Arriola and Avery Skradski. Ainsley Stolley got her first varsity hit and RBI. Rother also walked twice. Also reaching on walks was Fitzgerald, Avery Skradski, Tayler Hollenbach, Claire Byrd and Alexa Taylor. Harms had 2 RBI's, with other runs driven in by Kaylee Huffman on a sacrifice fly, Hollenbach and Arriola. Runs were scored by Rother, Fitzgerald, Harms, Hollenbach, Byrd, Arriola, Avery Skradski, Aubrey Skradski and Shantal Cubilla. In addition to Stolley and Audrey Skradski, Brynlee Dale and Kinsley Vodicka made their first varsity appearances in the game.
Beau Bergren struck out 5 in the circle for the win.
