August 22 - PLHS 6 - Millard West 5
Courtney Wallace picked up the pitching victory and had two hits at the plate.  Sara Sempek earned the
save and had two doubles.  Alexis Howe hit a two run homerun off the scoreboard in the top of the 7th
inning to give the Monarchs the lead.  Howe also had another hit earlier in the game.  Hannah McCarville
and Emma Dargy also had two hits, while Sam Dellinger and Nia DeGeorge had one each. 
August 22 - PLHS JV 0 - Millard West JV 2
Clara Dargy threw a complete game for the Monarchs.
 
August 24 - PLHS JV 2 - Blair JV 5
Clara Dargy threw a complete game for the Monarchs allowing 2 earned runs.
 
August 24 - PLHS JV 12 - Blair JV 2
Ciara Peters threw a complete game for the Monarchs.  Skyler Schendt had 2 hits and Kellie Lang
also had two hits including a triple. 
 
August 24 - PLHS Reserves 14 - Lincoln North Star Reserves 1
Ayana Maryott tripled, Brittany Shell doubled and Kellie Lang had 2 hits for the Monarchs, including
a triple.
 
August 25 - PLHS 13 - Lincoln East 0 (3 innings)
Kerri Wachholtz hit her first Varsity homerun, and Emma Dargy also homered, both 3-run shots.  Sara
Sempek had 3 hits including a double and 2 RBI's.  Courtney Wallace hit a single.  Sam Dellinger
threw a 1 hit shutout for the win.
 
August 25 - PLHS JV 6 - Lincoln East JV 4
Kellie Lang hit a homerun and a single and had 4 RBI's.  Ciara Peters was the winning pitcher.
 
August 28 - PLHS 7 - Millard North 0
Courtney Wallace pitched a 4 hit shutout.  Sara Sempek and Sam Dellinger each had two hits including
doubles.  Gabby Delos Reyes and Alexis Howe also had two hits.  Kerri Wachholtz added a double,
while Madi Vejvoda, Emma Dargy and Hannah McCarville had the team's other hits.
 
August 29 - PLHS 7 - Millard South 4
Courtney Wallace earned the pitching victory with a save from Sara Sempek.  Madi Vejvoda had two
hits including a double.  Kerri Wachholtz had a big hit with a 3 run triple.  Emma Dargy hit a 2 run double.
Sara Sempek and Gabby Delos Reyes also had hits for the Monarchs. 
 
August 29 - PLHS 4 - Omaha Marian 3 (9 innings)
Sara Sempek and Sam Dellinger combined for the pitching victory.  Dellinger came in during the 6th inning
and finished with 10 strikeouts.  Sara Sempek, Courtney Wallace and Dellinger also had two hits each. 
Emma Dargy had a two run double.  Wallace's second hit was the game winning hit which scored Madi
Vejvoda who was on 1st and had stolen 2nd.

September 1 - PLHS 6 - Papillion-LaVista South 0
Courtney Wallace pitched a 4 hit shutout.  Hannah McCarville hit a grand slam homerun, and Sam Dellinger
hit a double and a homerun.  Kerri Wachholtz added two hits for the Monarchs.  Wallace, Gabby Delos Reyes
and Alexis Howe also had one hit each.
 
September 2 - Game #2 - PLHS Reserves 11 - Lincoln Southeast 0
Kellie Lang threw a one-hit shutout for the Monarchs.
 
September 4 - PLHS 7 - Papillion-LaVista South 5
Sara Sempek hit two homeruns, and Sam Dellinger hit a homerun and earned the pitching victory.  Courtney
Wallace had two hits and Emma Dargy hit a double.  Gabby Delos Reyes, Hannah McCarville and
and Alexis Howe also had one hit each.
 
September 4 - PLHS 11 - Lincoln Southeast 1 (4 innings)
Sam Dellinger was 3 for 3 at the plate including a homerun and a double wuth 2 RBI's.  Hannah McCarville
had a 3 run homerun, her second of the day, while Sara Sempek had two hits including her 3rd homerun of
the day, adding 2 RBI's.  Courtney Wallace hit a double and had the pitching victory.  Nia DeGeorge, Mallory
Sotak and Gabby Delos REyes had the teams other hits.
 
September 5 - PLHS 4 - Elkhorn South 5
Hannah McCarville had two hits including a double and 2 RBI's.  Emma Dargy also had two hits with 1 RBI.
Alexis Howe added a clutch base hit to force a tie-breaker.  Courtney Wallace and Sam Dellinger had the
Monarchs other hits.  Wallace earned the pitching loss. 
 
September 9 - PLHS 18 - Omaha North 0 (3 innings)
Emma Dargy and Nia DeGeorge each hit 3 run homeruns, and Sam Dellinger and Alexis Howe added two
hits each.  Hannah McCarville, Mallory Sotak, Courtney Wallace Rachele, Heaton, Mady Anglim and
Sara Sempek also had hits for the Monarchs. 
 
September 10 - PLHS 5 - Omaha North 8 (11 innings)
Play began on September 10 and was suspended after 10 innings due to darkness with the score tied at 4. 
The game was resumed on September 16th. 
Emma Dargy had 3 hits and Courtney Wallace had 2.  Hannah McCarville had a double.  Sara Sempek,
Madi Vejvoda, and Sam Dellinger had the teams other hits.
 
September 12 - PLHS 13 - Omaha Westside 1
Sam Dellinger earned the pitching win and hit a homerun a single and had 4 RBI's.  Emma Dargy hit two
doubles with an RBI.  Courtney Wallace doubles, singled and had 2 RBI's.  Kerri Wachholtz, Sara Sempek,
Hannah McCarville, Alexis Howe and Bailey Andersen also had hits for the Monarchs. 
 
September 12 - PLHS 9 - Bellevue West 0
Courtney Wallace pitched a one hit shutout, and added 2 hits and an RBI.  Sam Dellinger hit a 2 run
homerun, and Madi Vejvoda had two hits.  The Monarchs other hits were by Alexis Howe (a double),
Taylor Hoelscher and Sara Sempek.

September 14 - PLHS 7 - Millard West 3
Courtney Wallace picked up the pitching win with a complete game.  Sam Dellinger had two hits including a
homerun with 4 RBI's.  Emma Dargy added a two run homerun, and Madi Vejvoda had two hits including her
first career homerun.  Sara Sempek had two hits while Taylor Hoelscher and Nia DeGeorge had one hit each. 
 
September 14 - PLHS 5 - Millard South 3
Courtney Wallace picked up the pitching win with her second complete game of the day and hit an RBI double
to put the team in the lead in the 6th inning.  Sam Dellinger had a 2 run homerun in the first inning and Madi
Vejvoda hit her second homerun of the day.  Taylor Hoelscher and Alexis Howe had the Monarchs other hits.

September 15 - PLHS 10 - Omaha Westside 0
Madi Vejvoda was 2 for 2 at the plate with two doubles and 2 RBI's.  Sam Dellinger was also 2 for 2 with a
homerun, a single and 2 RBI's.  Hannah McCarville added two hits, while Courtney Wallace, Alexis Howe and
Emma Dargy had one hit each.  Sara Sempek pitched a complete game shutout. 
 
September 19 - PLHS 8 - Omaha Central 0
Courtney Wallace pitched a 2 hit shutout with 15 strikeouts.  Sara Sempek had 3 hits including a double.  Taylor
Hoelscher, Tessa Hurst and Wallace each had two hits, with Wallace adding 3 RBI's.  Madi Vejvoda and
Emma Dargy had one hit each. 
 
September 19 - PLHS 12 - Omaha Burke 0
Sara Sempek threw a 1 hit shutout.  Sam Dellinger had 3 hits including 2 homeruns with 7 RBI's.  Madi Vejvoda,
Sara Sempek, Courtney Wallace and Emma Dargy had two hits each.  Alexis Howe hit a homerun.  Other hits
were by Bailey Andersen, Taylor Hoelscher, Mallory Sotak and Nia DeGeorge. 
 
September 19 - PLHS 0 - Millard North 5
Sam Dellinger had two hits, while Sara Sempek, Alexis Howe, Hannah McCarville, and Emma Dargy had one hit each.
 
September 22 - PLHS vs. Millard South
The Monarchs game against the Patriots was postponed due to lightning.  The game has been rescheduled
for Friday, September 25th. 
Senior Night festivities were held before the game was postponed. 
 
 
September 24 - PLHS vs. Lincoln North Star
The Monarchs game against the Navigators was rained out.  No date has been set for rescheduling the game. 
 
September 25 - PLHS vs Millard South
The Monarchs game against the Patriots was rained out.  This game has been rescheduled for October 5th. 
 
September 26 - PLHS 2 - Columbus 0
Sam Dellinger earned the pitching victory with Sara Sempek getting the save.  They each also added two hits. 
Courtney Wallace had an RBI double and Emma Dargy had a squeeze bunt RBI.  Alexis Howe had the
Monarchs other hit. 
 
September 26 - PLHS 8 - Omaha Skutt 2
Alexis Howe was 3 for 3 at the plate with a grand slam homerun and 6 RBI's.  Taylor Hoelscher, Emma Dargy,
and Courtney Wallace also had hits.  Wallace and Sara Sempek combined for the pitching victory. 
 
September 26 - PLHS 1 - Lincoln Pius X 12
Sara Sempek, Courtney Wallace and Sam Dellinger had the Monarchs only hits. 
 
September 28 - PLHS 15 - Omaha Central 0
Sam Dellinger was 3 for 3 at the plate with a double and combined with Courtney Wallace in the circle for
a shutout.  Hannah McCarville has two hits including a homerun.  Sara Sempek and Madi Vejvoda also had
two hits each.  Rachele Heaton, Courtney Wallace, Bailey Andersen, Karri Wachholtz, Taylor  Hoelscher
and Mallory Sotak each had hits for the Monarchs. 
 
September 29 - PLHS 6 - Omaha Marian 5
Taylor Hoelscher who had a squeeze bunt earlier in the game, hit a game winning sacrifice fly in the bottom of
the 7th inning for the win.  Sam Dellinger had two hits and won the game as the winning pitcher in relief. 
Sara Sempek had two hits, Courtney Wallace added a double and Emma Dary had a two run single.
 
September 30 - PLHS 2 - Omaha Burke 1 (4 innings)
Sara Sempek had a complete game victory and hit a double.  Courtney Wallace had two hits including a
triple.  Emma Dargy and Taylor Hoelscher also had two hits.  Sam Dellinger, Mallory Sotak, Hannah
McCarville, Alexis Howe, and Nia DeGeorge also had hits for the Monarchs. 
 
September 30 - PLHS 13 - Lincoln Southeast 0 (3 innings)
Courtney Wallace pitched a one hit shutout and was 2 for 2 at the plate with a triple and 4 RBI's.  Sara Sempek
had 2 hits including a homerun.  Sam Dellinger and Alexis Howe each had two hits.  Hannah McCarville and
Tessa Hurst each had a double, while Taylor Hoelscher had the Monarchs other hit.

October 2 - PLHS 4 - Bellevue East 2
Madi Vejvoda hit a 2 run double in the 6th inning to tie the game and Courtney Wallace drove in the go ahead run in the
7th inning for the Monarchs.  Sam Dellinger hit a double and Emma Dargy had an RBI single.  Alexis Howe also had
a hit, and Mallory Sotak had a hit and scored two runs.  Dellinger got the pitching win in relief. 
 
October 5 - PLHS 11 - Millard South 5
The Monarchs scored 11 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning.  Emma Dargy was 3 for 3 with a homerun and 2 RBI's.
Alexis Howe, Courtney Wallace and Hannah McCarville had two hits each.  Sam Dellinger had a double.  Kerri
Wachholtz and Sara Sempek had the teams other hits.  Dellinger and Wallace combined for the pitching victory.  All
5 Seniors had hits on their unofficial Senior Night. 
 
October 6 - PLHS 12 - Elkhorn South 0 (4 innings)
Courtney Wallace pitched a 2 hit shutout and was also 2 for 2 at the plate with an RBI.  Emma Dargy was also 2 for 2
with a double and 3 RBI's.  Sara Sempek had two doubles, and Sam Dellinger was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI's. 
Madi Vejvoda also had 2 hits.  Hannah McCarville and Tessa Hurst each had a double.  Alexis Howe had the Monarchs
other hit.  A great team win to finish the regular season. 

The Monarchs finished the regular season with a 25-4 record.  They are at the top of the NSAA wildcard rankings and
rated #1 in the Omaha World-Herald softball rankings going into the District Tournament.
 
DISTRICTS - October 8 - PLHS 12 - Lincoln High 0 (3 innings)
The Monarchs won the first game in district play as Sara Sempek pitched a no-hitter and had two hits at the plate. 
Emma Dargy had two hits including a homerun, Madi Vejvoda had 2 doubles, Hannah McCarville had two hits, and
Courtney Wallace also had two hits with a double.  Sam Dellinger, with a double, Tessa Hurst, Taylor Hoelscher,
Gabby Delos Reyes, and Mady Anglim had the Monarchs other hits. 
 
DISTRICTS - October 9 - PLHS 16 - Bellevue West 4
Kerri Wachholtz hit a homerun. Sam Dellinger and Alexis Howe each had two hits including a double.  Courtney
Wallace hit a triple.  Emma Dargy, Madi Vejvoda and Nia DeGeorge each hit a double.  Tessa Hurst, Taylor
Hoelscher and Hannah McCarville had the Monarchs other hits. 
 
DISTRICTS - October 9 - PLHS 11 - Bellevue West 0
Courtney Wallace pitched a no-hitter and hit a grand slam homerun.  This was the team's second no-hitter in this
years District Tournament.  Emma Dargy had two hits.  Sam Dellinger hit a double.  The Monarchs other hits came
from Kerri Wachholtz, Taylor Hoelscher, Alexis Howe, Sara Sempek and Hannah McCarville.

STATE TOURNAMENT - GAME 1 - PLHS 6 - Lincoln North Star 0
Courtney Wallace pitched a 2 hit shutout and had a 2 RBI single.  Kerri Wachholtz homered for the Monarchs
first run.  Emma Dargy had 2 hits including a double.  Sara Sempek and Sam Dellinger also had two hits.  Other
hits came from Alexis Howe and Hannah McCarville. 
 
 
STATE TOURNAMENT - GAME 2 - PLHS 6 - Millard North 3
Emma Dargy had two hits including a game winning grand slam homerun.  Courtney Wallace had a complete game
pitching victory along with 2 hits including a double and an RBI.  Taylor Hoelscher had an RBI single.  Sara Sempek
and Madi Vejvoda each had doubles. 
 
 
STATE TOURNAMENT - GAME 3 - PLHS 4 - Omaha Marian 5
Courtney Wallace, Hannah McCarville and Sara Sempek each had two hits.  Sam Dellinger had a double and Madi
Vejvoda had the Monarchs other hit. Dellinger relieved Wallace in the circle.
 
 
STATE TOURNAMENT - GAME 4 - PLHS 6 - Millard West 3
Sam Dellinger earned the pitching victory.  The Monarchs had 13 hits including a 4 run 4th inning to take the lead.  Tessa
Hurst led the way with 2 hits including a double and her first varsity homerun with 3 RBI's.  Madi Vejvoda had two
hits including a double.  Sara Sempek and Alexis Howe each had two hits.  Sam Dellinger had a double.  Hannah
McCarville, Emma Dargy and Courtney Wallace had the team's other hits. 
 
 
STATE TOURNAMENT - GAME 5 - PLHS 5 - Omaha Marian 8
The Monarchs lost a heart breaker on a grand slam after coming back from a 4-1 deficit to take the lead in the 6th
inning 5-4.  Sara Sempek and Sam Dellinger pitched well in relief.  Sempek and Hannah McCarville each had two
hits.  Sara's last one tied the game at 4.  Dellinger then hit an RBI double to put the Monarchs ahead.  Alexis Howe
had an RBI single.  Taylor Hoelscher had a single and drove in a run with a bases loaded walk.  Tessa Hurst and
Madi Vejvoda had the Monarchs other hits. 

A great team effort throughout the season and during the State Tournament as the Monarchs earned a State Runner-Up
finish.  Things didn't go our way at the end but it wasn't because the girls stopped fighting.
